It said on Saturday that it is going to change the debit card transaction limit soon. In this matter the bank has issued a notice on its website. In this notice, customers have been told by the bank that the bank will soon revise the debit card transaction limit of the high-end variant. According to an update on PNB’s website, the daily ATM cash withdrawal limit will be increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,00,000 for all platinum variants of Mastercard, RuPay and Visa Gold Debit cards. At the same time, the daily POS (Point of Sale) limit will also be increased and it will be increased from Rs 1,25,000 to Rs 3,00,000.

It has also been said by PNB that the ATM cash withdrawal limit for RuPay Select and Visa Signature Debit cards will be increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,50,000. The daily limit for POS transactions specifically for these cards will be raised from Rs 1,25,000 to Rs 5,00,000.

The transaction limit per day will be maximum for the specific variants of the Debit Card mentioned above. The bank has advised customers to set their customized limit through internet banking, mobile banking app, PNB ATM, IVR or by visiting Aadhaar branch.

Currently, the daily cash withdrawal limit for PNB Bank customers is Rs 25,000 and the one-time cash withdrawal limit is Rs 20,000. Also the daily POS transaction limit for PNB customers who have a classic debit card issued by the bank with a variant under RuPay and Master is Rs 60,000.

Any such e-mail/call/SMS are fraud and should never be made from Bank/RBI/Income Tax/Police authority/Call Centre. In case of any of these suspicious activities, please change your password/PIN immediately. Bank will not have any responsibility for this.

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has reduced its non-resident external (NRE) deposit rates by up to 25 basis points (bps) for amounts below Rs 2 crore, even in an era of rising interest rates. The new rates of the bank have come into effect from 17 November. Punjab National Bank will now offer interest rates in the range of 6.55% to 6.30% for NRE deposit tenures ranging from one year to less than 599 days.
